



With the motive to
intensify awareness on the importance of nutrition for health, an annual
nutrition event is held all over India from 1st to 7th of
September every year. The National Nutrition Week (NNW)
was introduced by the Food and Nutrition Board in the year
1982 as an annual event.
The week began with various
competitions. A poster competition was organized, with each team consisting of two participants, expressed their creativity by showcasing their posters.
The poster competition was followed
by ‘The Health Chef’ – a cooking competition where
participants cooked nutritious recipes without the use of fire. The event was a great success with the active participation and impressive work of students, both from MSc. DAN and MSc. HTM of
the university.
